Abstract: Recently Kijima [2] and Shimizu and Takahashi [5] proved some fixed point
theorems for singlevalued and multivalued mappings respectively in a
metric space with some kind of convexity. The purpose of this note is to
extend the results to a Hausdorff gauge space and prove fixed point
theorems in the spirit of conditions considered in [5].
